holiday recap

It was nice to have a bit of a break in NC. Always nice to spend time with family over the holidays. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law had to work each day (except Christmas, of course). The kids are growing up fast. D, the youngest of the 3, is now the tallest. They were pretty good this year and were pretty much occupied by movies and video games. It was unusually warm while we were there (70′s). At one point in time, we had the windows open on Christmas Eve!

We returned home after an all-day drive the day after Christmas. And on Wednesday, it was back to work. Now that it’s another long weekend, I hope to catch up on some things. I will be posting pics as soon as I get the chance.

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

I’m sorry I have not blogged in a while. Too much going on at work and at home. Tonight, we head on out to visit the in-laws for Christmas. I hope to blog more once we get settled into relaxation mode.

What Happens To Your Body If You Drink A Coke Right Now?

I’m probably at that age where I should be concerned about what I put into my body. I normally don’t care too much about what I eat or drink; if it tastes good, I usually go for it. But my body has gone through some changes in the past few years that I need to start paying attention.

I thought this was an interesting read. Will this stop me from drinking Coke? Probably not.

They took the cocaine out of Coca-Cola because it was redundant. This is a scary time line of what actually happens to your body as you have a coke and a smile.

CNET Tribute: James Kim (1971-2006)

James Kim was a respected expert on cutting-edge digital devices, an owner of a trendy clothing store, and a lover of the futuristic-sounding music known as electronica. Yet most of Kim’s life revolved around traditional values, according to friends: sacrifice, friendship and family.

ice

iceJust Wednesday, it was sunny and unseasonably warm (70). We knew a major winter storm would arrive on Thursday, but I didn’t think it would hit as hard as it did.
