Hmm… what’s going on? Busy at work, tired at home. I still have 2 days’ worth of pictures to upload from our vacation. I’m gonna have to better organize my time so I can have this done by the end of this weekend. Daniel returns home next week when my in-laws come to visit. It’s getting hotter outside now that summer’s officially here. I’m feeling the pressure and stress at work as the lab project is almost live (5 weeks away). Maybe once that’s out of the way, I can rest at ease, relax, and get back to some kind of normal in my job. I am happy to say that, today, my new manager announced to me that I would be getting a raise effective next pay period!

long week
The 4 days of work this week seemed longer than the 10 days I was off. I’m so glad the weekend is here. Saturday, I plan to take Salem on a walk (he’s been without one for nearly 3 weeks now), then I’ll cut the grass. After the yardwork, I’d like to start working on journaling our vacation. I’ll be creating a new blog to house my recaps and our pictures. I’m still trying to sift through all the images; I haven’t had much time this week, but I’ll start uploading some to Flickr.
home sweet home
We’re back from our trip. It’s nice to be home. Salem’s happy to be back from “camp”; we’ve already spoiled him times 10 to make up for our absence. CL and I both dread our return to work tomorrow. She’s got a short week while it’s business as usual for me with my 10-hr days. I’m already looking forward to the weekend. As for the vacation – it was fantastic. Amazing how time flies when you’re having fun. I’d like to journal our trip, since I didn’t get to blog during our stay in Florida (I still can’t believe we were being charged for internet access). I had the ability to text to Twitter via my cell phone, as well as do audio blogs, but I lacked motivation once we we got there. I also have plenty of pictures, but it will take some time to sift through more than 1500 digital images (taken by me, Christine, Steve, and Dad combined). All in all, we had a great time, and look forward to the next trip (I’ve got 9 bucks in my wallet that’s already going into the vacation fund).
