Went to Cold Stone Creamery in O’Fallon today. It’s a new ice cream place (well known in places like Chicago). In addition to regular flavors, they have gourmet ice cream flavors (like cake batter, peanut butter). Then you get to mix in pretty much whatever you want. Because CL and I were overwhelmed to begin with, we took suggestions from them. CL had Cherry Cake Double Take, while I had Mud Pie Mojo (mine actually called for coffee ice cream, but I got vanilla since I hate coffee). CL and I enjoyed them, but all we can say is it is very RICH. We needed a drink to wash it down, or a burger to neutralize all the sugar. To be honest with you, I couldn’t stand to think about ice cream afterward. Not that we won’t go back! We now know that we don’t necessarily need all the mix-in’s.
